A boho-luxe theme with a European feel was on this week’s White Lily bride’s mind when planning her wedding in Byron Bay. Upon canceling her original plans of getting eloped in France, Lizzy and JP finally celebrated their love in an intimate and beautiful ceremony at Byron View Farm.
A Big Apple Love Story
Imagine looking at the view of New York’s skyline, turning around, and seeing the love of your life on one knee! Lizzy and JP’s proposal story has us dreaming of overseas trips: “JP proposed on a trip to the US in September 2019. He told me he had organised a nice dinner and we caught the ferry over to Long Island NY. We stopped and looked at the view of New York skyline, took some photos etc and then when I turned around he had got down on 1 knee and started saying all these beautiful things, and had organised a professional photographer. Can confirm we were both in tears!”
European Feel
It is no surprise that travel lovers Lizzy and JP originally planned on getting married overseas. With Covid throwing a spanner in the works, our White Lily couple was determined on bringing the European feel to their new location in Byron Bay: “Since we weren't able to travel, we were looking for a European feel with a timeless, boho luxe, elegant, fun wedding with a lot of beautiful white, dusty pink and neutral details.” Not only was their special day embellished with beautiful decor, but it was also filled with memories the couple will cherish forever; Lizzy specifically remembers walking down the aisle and having her first dance with her now-husband JP in the rain - so dreamy!

Lizzy’s Dream Wedding Dress
A modern minimalist’s dream - Lizzy wore OBERON by Pronovias and absolutely stole the show! Oberon’s minimalist yet elegant mikado fabric made the dramatic train pop, creating the most astonishing silhouette. The button details on the back completed Lizzy’s dream bridal look and made her feel beautiful on her special day. Upon asking what she loved most about her White Lily experience, she reminisces about her Luxe Lounge experience: “We had booked the Luxe Lounge experience and wow it didn't disappoint! Being able to bring my bridesmaids and my mum to the fitting as well as enjoying some bubbly and treats was so special…The girls were amazing, professional, understanding and so much fun to work with.”
