This week’s White Lily bride swept us off our feet with her stunning images from Kooroomba Lavender Farm. Amy and Tyson's love was celebrated in the most spectacular setting - surrounded by lilac fields of lavender and breathtaking mountain views. Captured during a heavenly sunset, our White Lily couple’s big day was everything Amy could have dreamt of.
How it all began
Who knew that a ‘car accident’ could lead to something so magical?“I was 16 and ty was 17. I was learning to drive and accidentally drove over his foot as I went to pick my sister up from a party. From that point on I haven’t been able to get rid of him.” *Do not try this at home*
Five years ago, Tyson then finally proposed to Amy on their fifth anniversary: "At just 21 and 22 we went away to the Sunshine Coast whenever we could. No different to any other weekend away we went down to the beach for some drinks and a beautiful sunset. Before I knew it he was kneeling down proposing, it couldn’t have been more perfect!”
The Big Day - Wedding Styling
When Amy and Tyson were planning their special day, the Brisbane couple wanted to create something unique and memorable: “A wedding that completely reflected us as people!” With lavender fields as far as the eye could see, Amy and Tyson’s images caught our attention right away. A unique combo of lilac nature and golden skies, created a wedding so beautiful, we could hardly take our eyes off it. Pink finishing touches added a unique twist to the couple’s wedding styling and created a fun atmosphere. Amy’s special day was made perfect by their friends, who had organised surprise fireworks: “…everyone and anyone knows just how special that was for me (I’m a complete sucker for fireworks and have always joked about the idea of having them at our wedding)”
The Wedding Dress
Aligned with the rest of Amy’s wedding concept, our White Lily bride chose a dress as unique as ever: ”I remember writing on my “wish list” in the white lily consultation was for a gown that was different and unlike no other. My gown is just that, a dress that I will always see as my own and so incredibly unique. From the “wings” as we liked to call them down to the sparkle in the veil, every detail was perfectly unique.” August by Zavana Couture is a true showstopper!
What made your White Lily Couture experience special for you?
“Well firstly, Lisa is a woman I won’t ever forget! She made our experience so easy! She was very flexible and really listened to what I was liking and not really liking with elements of gowns. In three gowns I had found the one, purely because of how she interpreted my wishes!”
