Molly & Raiden - A Magical Maleny Wedding

If there is one thing Molly and Raiden have, it's romance. From Raiden's intimate, personalised proposal to their all-white, pearl-studded nuptials, this couple knows what it means to love and be loved. We chatted to #whitelilybride Molly about the origins of their love story and how they brought their stunning day to life at Maleny Manor.

How They Met

We love when couples meet under circumstances that make you think, "yep - they were always meant to be." Molly and Raiden are one of those couples. They were first introduced by Molly's sister, who is engaged to Raiden's best friend! It's a small world. The rest, as they say, is history.

The Proposal and Engagement

Raiden really pulled out the romantic stops for this one. He organised for Molly's two best friends to take her out to dinner while he stayed home, setting up the proposal. "He proposed in our home we had just built, with petals and candles scattered down the hallway. Photos of Raiden and I were hanging from the ceiling and at the end of the hallway, he was waiting there for me with massive 'MARRY ME' balloons hung up behind him." Raiden had also organised for Molly's Dad - her best friend - to be hidden behind the wall while it happened so he could be the first one to congratulate them. They were engaged on the 9th of January, 2021 and married the 7th of April, 2022.

Style and Theme

Molly was very aware that every bride wants to have a point of difference on their big day. She had so many styles in her head that she loved. At the end of the day though, Molly had to stay true to herself and the main theme she had always dreamed of - a white wedding. "Everything was white, no colour, no greenery. However we did have a special feature throughout - pearls. I had pearls in my hair, earrings, veil, cake and decor. I'd say our wedding was romantic, contemporary, soft and very chic."

Our gorgeous bride was thrilled with all of her vendors. Their venue - Maleny Manor was a beautiful choice for their wedding, with Molly saying "the staff really do care about your special day." Photography and videography was taken care of by The Lane Creators. "I absolutely take my hat off to photographers, it's such a long day for them. Ryan and Danielle were the most amazing people to work with. They knew exactly what they were doing and their attention to detail was impeccable." To execute Molly's all-white, pearl vision, the styling was taken care of by Lovebird Weddings. "I chopped and changed my mind 1000 times for styling, the girls worked so hard with me to have the perfect ceremony and reception details. It was everything I dreamt of and more." Molly also wanted to make mention of Mondo Floral Designs who provided "the most perfect wedding flowers" and Blue Bird Invitations for their menus and place cards.

Saying Yes to the Dress!

Molly was understandably overwhelmed by the thought of bridal dress shopping. "I was worried because I love pretty much any wedding dress I see! I wanted a dress that made me feel like a princess but was sexy at the same time. I had a photo on my phone of my wedding dress. I knew I wanted to try it on but my bridal party weren't too keen on the sleeves (my favourite part!)" When Molly tried the dress on though - Versailles by Martina Liana - she knew it was the one (even without looking in the mirror!). "My bridal party all cried and kept repeating, "it's the one!" When it came to talking about her experience at White Lily, Molly said it was second to none. "It was perfect. I didn't feel rushed, my consultant listened to everything I said and really hyped me up. All the staff were perfect. I have recommended White Lily to all my friends who are getting married."

Favourite Memory

Being surrounded by family and friends, laughing and smiling with those you love most, feeling and looking your best - there are so many moments to treasure on your wedding day. But what was Molly's favourite memory? Keeping it wholesome and romantic, Molly said her absolute favourite was "Raiden and I exchanging our vows and sharing our first kiss."
