For Madeline and Matt, their story is the definition of a modern romance. It all began on Instagram – with Madeline’s dog, Poppy!
The couple knew each other beforehand, but it took a furry friend to bring them together. “He fell in love with my dog via Instagram.” Said Madeline. “He really knew the way to my heart!”
As they say – the rest is history!
Their heart-warming big day was set against the chic modern backdrop of inner-city venue, Lightspace. With elegant high ceilings and a luxe industrial fit out, it was the perfect canvas for their vision. The couple filled the space with abundant florals in crisp whites and wild greens, as well as an array of candles and festoon lighting giving the space a sense of warmth and cosiness.
The crisp modern styling was continued throughout the bridal party also, with groomsmen in black suits and bow ties, while bridesmaids wore elegantly mismatched white cocktail dresses.
Madeline’s elegant Enzoani Yale gown echoed the wild florals overhead through a stunning vine lace appliquéd bodice and effortless organza skirt. This lace work was the bride’s favourite detail. “The top was just divine!” She said, “ It was also so comfortable, which was important to me.”
Poppy made a stylish appearance alongside Madeline, wearing a tan leather collar adorned with fresh white roses.
Madeline recalls planning the wedding and what she really felt was important. “I really wanted to make sure my favourite people were around me and just having fun.” She explained.
Her most memorable moment of the day came at the end of the night. “Our guests put us on their shoulders and we all sang together! They also all formed a tunnel to us leaving. I will never forget that moment. “ Said Madeline.
She also urged those planning their wedding to focus on the big picture. “Try not to sweat the small stuff... it all comes together in the end!”
Following their stunning Lightspace Brisbane wedding, the couple headed to Italy, Turkey and Indonesia for their honeymoon and a well-deserved break.
