Erin and Travis were one of the lucky few who managed to still host their wedding as planned prior to the new covid restrictions coming into play. These two were destined to be together, having first met in their hometown of Orange, NSW.
“It was at a small country pub… [where] we met, but the timing wasn’t right so we became Facebook friends and then 5yrs later in the very same small country pub I saw him again and the love story began.” Recall Erin. “Here we are 6 years and 2 children later and finally tied the knot!”
The couple’s number one focus was ensuring that their day was a true celebration. That meant ensuring that all their guests who had made the effort to travel had a great time. “We got to spend so much time surrounded by all those we love and adore.” Erin said of their big day.
Even Erin and Travis’ two children – Ava and Vance had a ball. They both partied and danced the night away alongside their parents.
Erin’s Mum added a special touch to their wedding by offering family heirlooms as their ‘something old’ and ‘something borrowed.’ Erin’s Mum surprised her with both of her grandmother’s engagement rings to wear as she headed down the aisle. “Safe to say we were both in tears and the makeup artist had to retouch my face after that!”
Erin’s wedding day look was out-of-this-world lovely. The bride fell in love with Finch by Nicole Milano – a gorgeous modern mix of lace and crepe.
“I loved everything about my White Lily gown! It was my dream dress, the detailing on the top section looked so stunning and with a flowing train and beautiful veil made for amazing photos and was also so easy to dance and move and have fun in later when the party really started!”
Erin styled her dream dress with curled half up/half down hair and a raw-edged veil. Her bridesmaids, florals and details featured lush shades of peach pink paired with neutrals tones.
Erin’s sage advice to brides-to-be shouldn’t be overlooked! She urges those in the midst of planning to not sweat the small stuff. “Plan the day you and your husband want and not whatever everyone else wants!” She said. White Lily bride, Erin also urged others to “Take some time to stop and soak it all a few times as it honestly will be the best day of your life and goes so fast!”
The one things Erin and Travis agree should never be skimped on is the photographer and videographer you love. “Trust me, when you get your images or video back it makes the cost all so worthwhile because you will have it forever to remember the day!”
Like many other couples celebrating their wedding in 2020, the pair were forced to postpone their honeymoon. “But I feel so incredibly grateful we got to have our day when we did because we got married on Friday and all the covid restrictions came into effect on the Sunday! We were the very last weekend of weddings before all the madness and I’ll be forever grateful we didn’t have to postpone our day.” Explained Erin.
“Now that we are married and already have 2 beautiful children we are hoping to just enjoy our time as a family, and who knows maybe baby number 3 down the track. We are excited for everything in the wedding industry to go back to normal so some of our closest friends who had to postpone their big days can finally tie the knot and experience the amazing day we got to!”
