We all know life can be a little messy, but Nathan and Emma knew that this is also what makes it so beautiful. The same could be said of the magic that surrounded their wedding day and the impending dust storm.
Engulfed in a haze of red earth, the two newlyweds were unfazed by the dust settling on their skin. Instead, they were caught up in the joy of celebrating their wedding day.
Their love story began five years ago when Emma was studying nursing. Although an existing family friend, she and Nathan met on a night out and the rest is history! They have since purchased their own farm together where they now live and it’s also where Nathan proposed! He popped the question in the paddock at sunset with “Marry me” written on hay bales. How sweet is that?!
Fast forward to their amazing big day and what could have been a wedding disaster, ended up being their favourite part of the day! With an impending dust storm of 100km winds, the newlyweds simply ran with it. “If we were going to get married in the middle of the drought, we were definitely going to embrace the dust storms that came with it.” Said Emma.
Our stunning real bride wore Lucy by Enzoani – a fitted lace gown with a deep V neck. “I adored my gown. It was so comfortable ALL night and I loved the low back on it and the beautiful lace it was made from.” Emma explained. When it came to finding her dream dress, the result came from left-of-field. “My only advice to future brides would be: have an open mind about picking a gown, as the style in your head may not suit.”
Her parting words of wisdom?
“Absolutely embrace whatever the day throws at you, because that’s what makes the day so unique and special and although the weather wasn’t ideal, we made some crazy, beautiful memories and I wouldn’t change a thing about it.”
