Ellie & Jeff’s Intimate Brisbane Wedding

Our bride of the week Ellie and her husband Jeff said their vows during an intimate ceremony in Wooloongabba, Brisbane. After meeting the “twenty-first-century way”, also known as “online”,  the gorgeous couple was over the moon to finally commit to a lifetime of love together.

Just like many other 2020 weddings, Ellie and Jeff's original schedule for the day had to be changed. When COVID hit, their plans of celebrating with 130 people, got canceled. Unfortunately, many of their loved ones lived interstate, which made it impossible for them to join Ellie and Jeff on their big day. However, the Brisbane couple decided to go ahead with an intimate ceremony, with only their closest friends and family in Woolloongabba "It was important to us to go ahead and get married when we could…” In the end, Ellie and Jeff got to celebrate their love with a total of 28 people.  While we missed many of our loved ones, we had the most wonderful day and we know they were with us in spirit.

Although it was hard to pick just one favourite moment of their special day, Ellie says that the most memorable part of the day was the moment she and Jeff got to say their vows to each other.  It’s the most intimate moments, we adore the most!

When we asked Ellie what she loved most about her experience at White Lily Couture, she said that the team and store itself “make you feel like you’re having your own ‘Say Yes to the Dress’ moment.” She was also accompanied by her bridesmaids which made the moment of finding ‘The One’ even more special. Ellie’s dream dress turned out to be PASIPHAE by Pronovias and it was everything she had hoped for. When we asked Ellie what she loved most about the gown, she referred to the sleeves and lace details: “I loved the intricate lace and the detail on the back too.” Ellie ended up looking absolutely stunning on her special day and we were so excited to be the ones who helped her to find her dream wedding gown.

Moving on to the next chapter of her life, Ellie leaves one piece of advice to all future brides, who are currently going through stressful times: “Take the pressure off yourself - plan something smaller if that suits you. Remember that the day is about your love for one another. When you take away all the ‘stuff’, the love shines through.” We couldn’t have said it any better. Always remember, it is your special day.

The freshly married Brisbane couple is now looking forward to many new adventures as Mr and Mrs and is excited to one day have a family of their own.
