Candice and Roberto - A Glamorous and Cultural Wedding Day

Our first White Lily Real Bride of 2021 glamorously strut down the aisle during her beautiful ceremony at St James Church, in Brisbane. Their celebrations continued at the Victoria Park gold complex; Chandeliers, blush flower constellations, and a dress that took hubby’s breath away - Candice’s wedding day was the perfect combination of culture and glamour.

The couple first met in Brisbane city, when their families got together for an event. Turns out Candice and Roberto’s mothers were best friends over 30 years ago but eventually lost touch. In 2015, they decided to bring together their families and reignite their friendship. Who could have known that their kids would fall in love? Bringing together the husband and wife’s family has never been so easy…

When planning her Wedding, Candice ensured that the couple’s cultural traditions were honoured. Most importantly, the Brisbane couple wanted to enjoy their day to the fullest and make memories they would cherish for all eternity. And so they did: “The whole day, every moment was so special and had that once in a lifetime feeling. We cherished every moment - big or small!” Mission complete! 

As mentioned above, Candice’s wedding day was as glamorous as ever. And so was her wedding dress. She fell in love with the colour, the details, and the crystals on INDRA by Stella York: ”… I slipped into it - it took my breath away and I knew it was made for me.” Candice’s visit to our Brisbane boutique was a success and we were so excited to make her bridal dreams come true. “The staff were so amazing even during the COVID-19 Pandemic they catered to my needs and made my dreams come true. My dress arrived before the scheduled time - the ladies worked to make it all happen for me.”

Although Candice and Roberto had to change their location, their wedding day turned out to be perfect. With help from their amazing wedding stylists Nicole and Justine from Beautiful Weddings, they overcame all Covid-19 boundaries and create something even more special. The Brisbane couple learned to just take it as it is and adapt to changes: "It makes it just that tad more special - and a great story to tell the kids!“

Given the above, Candice’s advice to future brides is to just relax and take it easy throughout the planning process. “The more relaxed you are the smoother things will run.” Keeping a cool head in stressful times truly works wonders! Candice also emphasises to enjoy all the moments you have together on the day and take the time to tell your husband or wife how amazing they look!

Now that Candice and Roberto finally said yes to eternity, the couple is looking forward to traveling the world together, start a family, and grow old together.
