Sammi & Warrick - An Emotional Celebration of Love

After 12 years of loving each other, White Lily Bride of the week Sammi and husband Warrick got to say their vows during an intimate and emotional ceremony at Braeside, on the Gold Coast, Queensland. Groom Warrick brought it home with his vows and made our bride of the week Sammi one happy wife: "He was so emotional in that moment and the love I felt was indescribable.” We love LOVE! 

Planning a wedding that represented who they are as a couple was their first priority. So, to make their friends and family “feel in the moment” as much they did, Sammi and Warrick ensured that the couple’s big day revolved around their love for each other: “Remember that this is about you and your soul mate. You are celebrating your love and commitment to each other, and your day should be everything you want.” We couldn’t agree more! 

One of Sammi’s favourite memories from the day was seeing her bridesmaids' faces when spotting her in her wedding dress: “MY HYPE TEAM!! Thinking about it makes my heart so happy.” And her hype team was absolutely right, Sammi looked incredible in her wedding dress! 

When she first walked into our Brisbane bridal store, she had no idea that she would fall in love with GALIAH by Stella York: “It was the complete opposite to what I imagined myself in, yet it was absolutely perfect in every way. The sparkle, the colour, the detail!! ARGHH I literally kept it out for 2wks and almost cried when I had to put her away!” 

Upon asking Sammi what she loved most about her experience in our bridal boutique, she applauded our attention to detail and how she got to share the ‘Say Yes To The Dress’ moment with her closest friends and family: “I got to try on a range of dresses, I had Inese as my bridal consultant and she listened to everything I was saying. Down to the fine details, she listened to my family and what they loved and didn’t love. Then when I put the dress on, she and I both looked and just knew it was the one.” 

Since Sammi and Warrick only started making final decisions one to two months before the wedding, they didn’t have to make any major Covid-adjustments. Although they were prepared for a dance battle, the only thing they missed out on was a d-floor. The Brisbane couple still managed to put together their dream wedding day with memories they will cherish forever. For all brides who are struggling with new Covid-19 restrictions altering their plans, Sammi’s advice is to keep calm and adapt to change “Don’t freak out, talk to your planner or other brides. Adapt to the changes, you will be amazed to find out you can still have your dream day even with a global pandemic."
