Samantha and Nathan's emotional wedding turned out to be a most beautiful day filled to the brim with tears, joy and love. Having met at the tender age of 14, the pair were ready to say 'I do.'
They had first crossed paths at a dance party courtesy of a mutual friend and have been inseparable ever since. Samantha told us of how their love story played out over the years,
"We felt that no matter what life dealt us, we could take it on because we had each other. Two children, houses and investments later, and we still had not gotten around to getting married because we kept telling ourselves that there was more important things in life than a big flashy wedding. Then just a month shy of our 12 year anniversary, Nathan had decided it was time to pop the question. Before he had a chance to pick up the ring, he was in a horrific accident resulting in him sustaining a spinal cord injury. Our lives became a rollercoaster ride for some time, but it really brought to light the importance of life, our family and our love.
The following year, Nathan proposed while playing hangman with our daughters at the beach we used to run away to when we first started dating. I still get goosebumps and tears when I think about it!
We set our wedding date to Wednesday the 9th of May 2018 - our 15 year anniversary. We had a small and intimate wedding with our family and dear friends and to say it was a magical day was an understatement. Emotions were running high and with our youngest daughter crying because her daddy was crying, there wasn't a dry eye in the Butterfly Forest!"
The couple opted for a lush garden setting with plenty of greenery at Wetland Walkabout with a contemporary and romantic reception at the Marquee Mackay Marina. The day featured pops of blush pink and dusty blue with plenty of foliage.
Samantha looked positively radiant in Wanda by Nicole Spose - a soft and whimsical A-line gown featuring stunning beaded illusion lace through the bodice. Our beautiful bride said it was everything she'd imagined and then some! With the help of stylist, Maddie, Samantha was able to take her dream dress from Pinterest to reality!
Samantha explained, "I picked my gown with the idea of having a modern elegant meets traditional princess feel."
We definitely think that together, they nailed the brief! Our beautiful bride also loved the fact that her gown allowed for plenty of wine, cheese and fun to be had!
Samantha paired her bridal look with a single-tier raw-edged veil, statement silver earrings, a classic glamour up-do and a bold smokey eye.
