Mikaela & Nick's Rom Com-worthy romance

How we love a good a meeting story - even more so when it could have leapt straight out of a classic rom com film! Mikaela and Nick's wedding was the stuff of every girl's childhood dreams!

The pair first met at the gym where Mikaela was a member and Nick was a personal trainer. Mikaela recalls her first sighting of her now, husband fondly, "When I first noticed him I made a comment to Mum about how good looking he was. She joked, saying I should book a session with him and that’s exactly what I did!"

That session clearly went well, as the two hit it off and we're now sharing their wedding!

Nick cried tears of joy as beautiful bride, Mikaela headed down the aisle to reach him. This was her favourite moment of the day.

"I was filled with SO much emotion and just as I set foot at the top of the aisle, all my nerves dropped away. I looked up expecting to see my groom with a huge smile on his face but instead his bottom lip turned and the tears started. I instantly bursted into a blubbering mess and it was by far the most moving moment I’ve ever experienced!" Says Mikaela.

The pair spent the day in what our bride-to-be dubbed the 'love bubble. She says, "The entire day was an absolute dream and I still cannot get over how incredibly happy we both felt." Could these two be any cuter!?

They ensured that their wedding reflected their special relationship, paying close attention to sentimental details. Her advice for future brides was to focus on how you want your wedding to be. "Your day is all about you and your new wifey/hubby! It’s the one time you’re allowed to be entirely selfish," she says, "Don’t make sacrifices or change things to suit others."

The beautiful bride strode down the aisle looking stunning in her Finley gown. The gown from Australian label, Emmy-Mae Bridal features a delicately beaded lace bodice with a lovely low back and flowing tulle skirt.

Mikaela couldn't have been more in love with her wedding gown saying, "Dream dress! It was the first dress I ever tried on. It was the perfect mix of boho and romantic. I was also going for comfort... well because - food baby! I was comfortable ALL day!"

It's safe to say that the duo's big day was pure magic as they shared their 'I do's, with both eager to enter the next chapter of their lives.

The pair spent their honeymoon on Hamilton Island in the Whitsundays. "We stayed at Qualia, which was an absolute dream and pure luxury! We couldn’t recommend more to lash out on staying here for your special occasion." Says Mikaela.
