Melissa & Matthew's fairytale forest wedding was a truly magical day held at Osteria Casuarina in Northern New South Wales. With a rich colour palette of deep reds and burgundies paired with luxurious greens, the setting was nothing short of dreamy.
With a first look set amongst a forest backdrop, Matthew turned around to see Melissa looking like a princess in her Milly gown by Mori Lee. This amazing dress features voluminous cascading ruffles and a deep-V neckline. When asked about her gown, Melissa was glowing:
"How do I just pick one thing that I loved about my gown? For the longest time I always thought I wanted something slinky and sexy, but when I first saw the images of Milly online, I fell in love straight away. When I went to try it on in store it fit like a glove and I knew it was the right dress for me. I had tried on so many dresses before that, but found that a lot were too lacy or sparkly for my taste. I loved that Milly had so much drama in the skirt (especially when I added a hoop), but was still rather simple it it's overall design, and adored that it was backless. There is also something so timeless about a beautiful ball gown. I felt like an absolute princess on the day."
Melissa topped off her gorgeous bridal look with a classic updo and one tier veil. The simplicity of the gown's fabric allowed Melissa's bold bouquet to make a statement - picking up colours from the natural flora of their ceremony location.
The reception was the epitome of wedding day glamour with luxurious hanging floral installations and lashing of gold and red across each table.
The loved-up newlyweds headed straight to New Zealand for their honeymoon with an added getaway to Japan following a little later in the year.
