Chelsey & Devon - A Tale of Two Cities - White Lily Couture

Chelsey & Devon - A Tale of Two Cities

For White Lily bride, Chelsey and her now, husband Devon, their love story spans two continents. Their wedding was filled with not only the creation of magical moments, but fond memories from back in the UK too.

The pair first met at university in the UK. The year was 2011 and they were both entering their ‘Fresher’s year.’

Chelsey recalls how they met, saying “We were placed in the same halls/accommodation and we have been inseparable ever since.”

Following uni, the couple took the leap and moved to Australia where they began their next big adventure together. Five years later, they celebrated their marriage with friends and family in a stunning Sunshine Coast ceremony and reception.

Chelsey’s favourite part of the day came right after they said ‘I do!’

“[For me, it was] walking out of the chapel as husband and wife (heading straight for the ice cream cart). We enjoyed every second of the whole day. We had family and friends from all over the world attend which was amazing! Some that we hadn’t seen since we left the UK over 5 years ago!!”

Their focus as a couple in the planning stages was all surrounding the atmosphere (and the dress, of course).

“We wanted a relaxing vibe full of love and happiness! And we were even lucky enough to have a beautiful sunny day! Perfect for the venue’s we had chosen.”

They tied the knot at the super cute Annabella Wedding Chapel, followed by their gorgeous reception at Pier 33 Mooloolaba. Chelsey looked stunning in her Lyric gown from US designer, Enzoani, while Devon complemented perfectly in a sand-coloured suit jacket.

Chelsey loved her dress, which she styled with laid-back curls and nude heels. “It was so comfortable,” She said. “I loved the colour, it was different and the back/train detail! ??”

The one piece of advice Chelsey would offer brides-to-be would be to enjoy EVERYTHING. “Just enjoy every second,” Chelsey urges. “Even the planning (as hard as that may seem) and spend time finding a great photographer that you can relax around.”

“Oh and comfortable shoes!” She adds. We wholeheartedly agree!

The pair enjoyed a relaxing ‘minimoon’ on the Sunshine Coast after their big day, followed by a visit to Bali. They are both looking forward to their bright future together. “Lots of laughter, love and making happy memories together!” Said Chelsey.
