Complete the sentence: being married means being completely yourself and at ease with just being.
We don’t often come across primary school sweethearts, which is why we got even more excited when we read about this week’s White Lily bride Rachelle and husband Brett’s love story. Starting off as friends in primary school and spending years with crushes on each other, Rachelle eventually got her dream proposal during the couple’s holiday to Santorini, Greece: “We climbed up to the top of this rock (Skaros rock) and we were watching the sunset. Out of nowhere, Brett proposed I was in complete shock I had no idea it was coming at all.” Don’t we all dream of that ridiculously beautiful sunset proposal in Europe, overlooking the ocean and soaking up the last rays of the day? After hearing their proposal story it is no surprise that their wedding day ended up just as beautiful and we are so excited to finally share all the deets with you.
A Creative, Dreamy, And Honest Wedding Day In The Currumbin Valley
After over a decade of knowing each other, Rachelle and Brett finally became husband and wife during their dream wedding in the Currumbin Valley on the Gold Coast. Reminiscing about the moment Rachelle finally locked eyes with her soon-to-be husband as she walked down the aisle, our White Lily bride couldn’t have been happier with her special day. Vibrant pops of colour, a princess ball gown with delicate beads, and surrounded by the luscious greenery of The Valley Estate. From table setting to bridesmaids’ dresses, Rachelle's choices ended up being everything she had hoped for. All in all, Rachelle describes her wedding as “Creative, dreamy, and honest.”
The Ultimate Princess Ballgown
We remember the day UNION by Martina Liana first landed in our boutique. All of our princess hearts went wild and we couldn’t wait for our brides (and us) to finally put her on. Layers of tulle combined with dainty crystals and delicate beading, UNION is a true showstopper: “I loved that it was different and unique. The jewelled top and extra embroidered flowers on the dress were perfectly romantic. I honestly never saw myself in a princess-style dress but then this dress made me want to go big! I felt amazing in it.”
