There aren’t many couples around whose wedding planning hasn’t been touched by the pandemic, and this week’s White Lily bride Lauren and husband James are no exception. But even moving venues only five weeks before their set date couldn't stop them from celebrating their love during the most special ceremony and reception in the Australian countryside.
Who proposed and how?
“James proposed on our 2 year anniversary while we were on holiday down the coast. He surprised me while we were walking to a beautiful dinner at Palazzo Versace - I was so surprised when turned around to find him down on one knee.“
Wedding Styling
Surrounded by the picturesque backdrop of Cowbell Creek and adorned with the most vibrant mix of florals, this week’s White Lily bride’s special day was an absolute standout wedding. It took us all of one second to fall in love with Lauren’s wedding images and we still can’t over her selection of colours and floral arrangements. From ceremony to reception, we were obsessed with Lauren and James’ bold choices. Photographer Kirk Willcox agrees with us: “I loved Lauren’s use of colour that she implemented throughout the wedding. Her flowers in particular really made the photos pop!!!”
What is the favourite memory of your special day?
“First kiss, walking down the aisle, and relaxing on the swing together during our photos. Oh and taking over the DJ stage at The Star Casino at 1 am in the morning at our kick o!”

The Wedding Dress
Made from an artful mix of sequinned and beaded tulle, TYRA by Martina Liana was the perfect fit for Lauren’s special day: “My dress was the very first dress I tried on. I asked Francesca at White Lily, who helped me that day, how do I know if I found the one – she told me that when I wake up in the morning there will be one dress that I can’t stop thinking about and she was right. I loved my Tyra dress so much and I felt like a princess on my wedding day.”
What made your White Lily bridal experience special for you?
"It was such a personalised experience and I loved how I could bring my bridal party with me when I came to try the dress on again after I made my decision.”
