Complete the sentence: being married means always having someone to share the beautiful moments of life with.
With panoramic views of Brisbane City and parklands, Victoria Park makes the perfect canvas for an elegant summer wedding. This week’s White Lily bride Cassie and now husband Ben created a beautiful day full of love, surrounded by their nearest and dearest in one of Brisbane’s most romantic and iconic wedding spaces. From dress choice to floral selection, Cassie’s special day was full of elegance.
Cassie and Ben’s Love Story
With Tinder being one of the most common ways of meeting these days, it is no surprise that this week’s real couple’s faith was determined by the dating app’s algorithm: “As our beautiful celebrant, Roxy, put it – we are a tinderalla story. After a little bit of conversation, we decided to have dinner at la Quinta in Bulimba. It was a hit to say the least, we were politely given the hint to leave as all the staff were packing up.” And you know it is the real day when you get engaged after only four months of dating: “We jumped in feet first rather quickly, we started dating in August and Christmas Day we were engaged. At the end of a crazy Christmas Day and Christmas dinner at our place, Ben got down on one knee in front close family. I happily said yes. We then had our beautiful wedding 14 months later.” When you know, you know, right?
Wedding Theme and Styling
Soft, pumpkin-like brown tones, paired with timeless blush, and sandy whites, Cassie and Ben’s flower installations by Daisy & Co. were truly beautiful. With views of Brisbane city, their gorgeously placed flowers on Victoria Park’s wooden ceremony arbour was the perfect backdrop to finally say yes to a life as husband and wife. Would Cassie do anything differently? Absolutely not! “…we absolutely loved our day. Perhaps if we had our time over, we may have made different choices but we had the wedding we hoped for. My advice to friends has been to stop and enjoy the moments in the lead up to the wedding, and as everyone will say “don’t stress the small things”.” Their dreamy ceremony was followed by a fun and intimate reception, all put together by Cassie’s amazing team of vendors: “Our vendors were all absolutely amazing! I would pick them all again in a heartbeat. We had a last-minute venue change, what could have been stressful was a breeze thanks to Victoria Park, in particular Jen who went above and beyond.” Scroll down to view the full list!
An Elegant Satin Ballgown by Essense of Australia
FISHER by Essense of Australia is a gown that impressed us from the moment it first landed in our Brisbane boutique. Clean and chic, yet completely effortless this dove satin ballgown was the perfect gown for Cassie’s special day. When we asked her how she knew that FISHER was ‘The One’, she remembers a particular feeling when first trying her on ”As soon as I put the dress on, I knew it was the one. I felt comfortable and beautiful. It was the first of six dresses I tried and and while they were all lovely dresses, I didn’t get that feeling. I loved that my dress was simple without being plain if that makes sense. And of course … it had pockets!” We do love our pockets!
What made your White Lily bridal experience special for you?
“The service, anyone who knows me will know I’m all about service. The ladies were all so warm and welcoming.”
