What is the turnaround time on my order?
Most gowns take 14-16 weeks, it depends on the manufacturer. It is important that you allow plenty of time, so do not leave this important part of your day to the last minute. When ordering, make sure you let us know any key dates – our job is to help you have a great day, and we do this by working closely with you to ensure that our part of the day runs smoothly!
What sizes do you stock?
In store we have a range of sizes for you to try on. Our party dress range goes up to an 18, while our bridal, bridesmaids & prom/formal go up to a 24. If we don’t have your size we can usually order it for you.
Do you hire?
Sorry, we do not hire gowns. We do, however, offer interest free payment plans to help you get into the gown of your dreams…
Can I order a gown in a different colour?
Yes, all of our ongoing bridesmaids come in different colours, and most of our bridal has a choice too. To find out more, or to get some advise on colours that will suit you, come into the store and speak with one of our Personal Advisors.
I really like a gown on your website but you don't have it, can you order it for me just to try on?
There are over 3000 gown styles available from our suppliers, so it is possible that we will not have the dress you have seen on the web in store. Generally, our customers prefer to use our “order to buy” system. This allows our customers to get exactly the right gown for them.
Do you make to my measurements?
At White Lily we fit hundreds of gowns each year – every person is different and every gown is different. To ensure that the gown you select will be perfect, we do not rely on the sizes on the tag. Your measurements will be taken to determine the appropriate size to be ordered, and then your gown will be tailored by our experts to be a perfect fit for you.
Do I need to make an appointment to try on Bridal Wear?
White Lily takes great pride in our ability to deliver fantastic levels of service to all of our customers. We do this in part by inviting you to book a personal appointment, at which time we can discuss your needs, and show you a range of styles and gowns. We do accommodate walk-ins but appointments are always given preference. Saturdays are very busy and appointments are mandatory. Making an appointment is the best way to ensure that you get the service and result that you deserve!
Can I bring my children?
We understand that for many, children are a significant part of life. As such, Children are always welcome at White Lily. We do, however, recommend that you try to book an appointment at a time that would enable you to have somebody else care for your children. Your gown choice is one of the most important decisions you will make for your special day and it is very important that you can spend the necessary time without distraction. We have found that few children find shopping for gowns to be exciting or interesting – and we all know that boredom breeds problems! If you do decide to bring your children we ask that they are kept under strict supervision at all times, our stock, gowns and products must not be touched, nor are they allowed to play on the staircase. Food and drink is also not permitted within our store.
Can I alter the design of the gown?
Our gowns are made to a specific pattern and therefore cannot have alterations to the design. We can however add an array of details that will customise your gown – and ensure that your day is enhanced by a totally unique gown. Ask your Personal Advisor about the opportunities to customise your gown.
What if I loose or put on weight after I order my gown?
While it is common that brides loose weight before their wedding White Lily Couture takes no responsibility for your gown being the wrong size due to weight loss or gain. It is easier to take a gown down in size, however difficult and expensive to go up due to limited seams. All alterations are an added cost to your gown. If you are planning any drastic lifestyle changes in the leadup to your day, please discuss this with your Personal Advisor so that they can assist you to select a gown that will best suit your needs.
