Do I need to make an appointment?
We like to give each of our brides our undivided attention, which means appointments are always preferred. If you’re more of a spontaneous kind of bride and come in without an appointment, we will do our best to find an available time for you that day, or make an appointment for you to come back at another date. We suggest always making an appointment on Thursday evenings and Saturday as these days can book out well in advance and we never like to disappoint. Can I just come in and browse before making an appointment?
Our entire collection is available to browse on our website and we encourage all brides to peruse the site and arrive at their appointment with a shortlist of favourites as a starting point for their search. As our gowns are kept in private appointment rooms, to ensure each bride’s appointment is uninterrupted we don’t allow groups to peruse the boutique.
How long is my appointment?
Approximately one hour.
What do I need to bring to my appointment?
We encourage you to wear the underwear your are planning to wear on your wedding day. Whether that is a strapless bra, seamless underwear or shapewear, it can be more encouraging to see the closest picture to what you will look like on the big day! We do recommend wearing nude underwear – black and hot pink always show through! 😉
How many people can I bring to my appointment?
You are welcome to bring as many people as you like to your appointment! If you plan to bring more than four family members or friends with you, we would love it if you could let us know ahead of time so we can allow enough space for your party.
Can I take photos?
Most definitely! You are also welcome to Skype or Facetime loved ones that weren’t able to make your appointment. Just ask your Style Consultant to set up an iPad for you.
Do you have x dress?
If you are looking for a particular dress from one of our designers feel free to use the search tool at the top of our website. Our complete collection is kept up to date online at all times. If you can’t find the dress you are looking for, we may not stock it in store. If the gown is by one of our designers, we can order it for you, however, we are unable to acquire a sample for you to try prior to purchasing.
How much do your gowns cost?
Our gowns are priced up to approximately $5500, with the majority of our collection falling between $2000 and $3500. If you have a particular budget in mind while browsing our website, you can also filter the results by price using the ‘Find my dress’ button under “Collections”. Please note that alterations are additional to the gown price.
What sizes are available?
Our sample gowns range from a size 4-24, however, we can order our gowns from a size 0-28. We have a number of tricks up our sleeve to show you how the gown might look in your size, should the sample not fit perfectly.
Are you made to measure?
We order from collections all over the world so we do not offer a made to measure service. When you fall in love with your dream gown, we take your measurements and place them on a size chart and order to your closest size. You will then need to take your gown to your preferred seamstress for alterations that are required.
Are alterations included?
We don’t offer alterations as part of our service, however, we can recommend a seamstress for you.
Where can I take my dress to be altered?
We recommend both Ella Moda and Kathron Dry Cleaning for alterations.
If I want to try a gown at your other boutique can you transfer it? (Info on transfer fees etc)
If you’ve spotted a gown on our website that is available at another location, we can transfer it for you. Transfers between Brisbane and Rockhampton cost $50 and occur subject to availability. Should you purchase the gown, the transfer fee will be credited toward your purchase. Please call us to arrange.
Do you stock veils & accessories?
We have a wide range of accessories from earrings, bracelets and headpieces to belts and veils. Please keep in mind though that some of these items will need to be ordered and can take from 1-5 months to arrive in store.
Do you have parking available?
We don’t have our own parking available, however, there is plenty of street parking available. There are also a few paid parking garages on Park Road.
How long does it take to order a gown?
Most designers take three to five months to make your wedding gown, so once you factor in shipping time and alterations the process can take around four to six months. Don’t worry if your wedding date is sooner than this. Most designers offer a Rush Service, however rush fees do apply. We also have a selection of sample gowns that can be purchased off the rack in what we call our “Sale Rail”. Whenever possible, we suggest ordering your wedding gown at least six to nine months before your wedding date.
How much do I have to pay to order my dress?
We require a 50% deposit to order your gown, you also have the option to pay the amount in full so you can tick it off your wedding to-do list sooner.
Do you offer a payment plan?
We do offer payment plans. A deposit of 50% is required to order your gown. The remaining 50% is split into three monthly payments which are directly debited from your account.
Can you store my dress for me?
When your gown arrives we will contact you for a collection appointment. You will then have 30 days to collect your gown. Should you require storage space after the 30 days we can do so for a fee of $50 per month.
