A sparkling dress, a sparkling sky – the magic was written in the stars for Amelia & Foti! The pair recently shared their nuptials with friends and family in a stunning destination wedding in Greece!
Flash back to ten years ago and the two were still in school. Foti was Amelia’s brother’s best friend, and it wasn’t long before Foti was in love! “He asked me to be his wife 10 years later - when the time was right! Super romantic!” Said Amelia.
The romantic moments continued into their big day as she walked down the aisle towards her soon-to-be husband. This was actually Amelia’s favourite part of the day! “It was as I walked down the aisle (tears rolling down my face!) - the certainty and stability in his eyes. My Future. My Husband. Such a vulnerable and beautiful moment I’ll cherish forever.” She said. Amelia also loved her first dance moment. “It was beyond!! Surprise fireworks lit up the sky!” She said of the epic moment that the night was filled with a dazzling display of light as the two gazed upwards from their open-air dancefloor.
The couple opted for a week-long celebration with family and friends in Greece. “I totally recommend Destination Weddings!!! We took our family and friends on our little Greek island and have memories to last a lifetime! We took our videographers with us too, so we have a highlight reel to come soon of this magic family week together!” Says Amelia.
The bride looked absolutely stunning in her sparkling wedding dress from Italian design house Nicole Spose. The gown features a minimalist fitted crepe mermaid skirt with a stunning diamanté-encrusted bodice. Amelia couldn’t get enough of her dream dress, saying she loved “the sparkle in the sun and the fact it fit like a glove - so comfortable!”
Amelia styled her dress with single tier tulle veil and a beautiful pearl and diamanté headpiece. Foti complemented her look and the stunning Greek island surrounds with a pale suit jacket and pants.
Amelia also strongly urged those planning their wedding “not overspend or over fuss.” Instead she suggest to focus on the true meaning of the wedding. “The day is and always has been about your union and love. Use that as your anchor to stay calm and grounded so you (& everyone!) can enjoy the experience!”
The pair have settled in to married life and are currently planning their next next Yoga Retreat together in Greece again! You can find them at Good Vibe Getaways.
